Wendy Lippmann

Wendy experienced the healing potential of yoga in 1990 when a sports injury prompted her to seek out yoga classes.  The benefits seemed miraculous at the time and thus began a 25-year relationship with Yoga that has supported her physical health, spiritual yearning, and intellectual curiosity.  She began teaching Yoga in 1993 when her teacher went on vacation and asked her to sub—akin to being thrown into the deep end of the pool. The exhilarating experience was a calling to study more deeply in order to serve her students well. She graduated from massage school in 1995 and grew a thriving massage therapy practice while teaching yoga at several Seattle locations.  In 1996, she joined the teaching staff at Seattle Yoga Arts under the tutelage of Denise Benitez, who continues to be her teacher and mentor.   Luckily, her Yoga path collided with the joyful ascent of Anusara Yoga, infusing her practice, and ultimately her teaching, with its heart-opening, exuberant spirit. In 2003 she founded OmTown Yoga, a neighborhood studio in northeast Seattle.  Wendy is an E-RYT 500 Yoga teacher and Yoga therapist who teaches with clarity, precision, compassion, and humor.  You can connect with Wendy at www.omtownyoga.com and wendy@omtownyoga.com
